Creating The Ad

  • When creating the ad you want to make sure that you start broad and narrow down into the sub categories.

  • To find broad categories you would look for for something related to your product, then back track through the sub-categories to find it.

  • Make sure you include both male and female for product, even if it is a gender specific product. Pinterest really takes limiting adjustments seriously, so it's best to not limit the initial ads.

  • You want to leave your placements on all, and I recommend starting with minimum the T4 countries.

Creating Your Pin

  • The pin setup is the most important part of dropshipping Pinterest ads. The targeting will generally figure itself out, but without a good creative everything falls apart.

  • Pinterest is a social media platform with more search based intent than Facebook and Instagram. This means that your ads need to be search based ad setups.

  • With search based ads the objective is presenting the product in a way that the viewer feels like it's what they were looking for.

  • As apposed to Facebook and Instagram, where your presenting the product with the intention of making them feel like they need it.

  • To present a product in this way, ensuring your title structure and thumbnail both include the exact value offer very clearly is important.

  • You want to show the customer the value first, then provide supporting evidence. With pins you need to be very straight to the point.

  • Pinterest is a very visual platform, viewers will leave your video within seconds if it isn't in alignment with what they were looking for.

  • So make sure your pin displays the alignment before you go into the features.

  • Make sure your pin sizing is 1000 by 1500 and is in a H264 format. This way your pin will be approved and have the best chance of success on Pinterest.
